Does anyone else think Jinbe is going to die??

This is one question I haven't been able to answer for a while now....On one side, Jinbe is too strong to join the straw hats, his presence would disturb the monster trio's status in the crew and his death would probably give Luffy the much awaited motivation to power up and become on the same level as the yonkos...So his death makes sense (and he wasn't on the last special cover picture).. But on the other side, we know that the fishmen's freedom and coming to the surface is going to be discussed in the reverie and will be a heavy and important arc for the rest of the story, so having a fishman in the crew may be necessary for political reasons, so keeping him alive also maked sense.....what do you think?

I think Luffy isn't mentaly ready yet to lose a close friend without having a mental breakdown, specially considering that: he trained in order to be able to protet his friends, Jimbe has literaly saved his life multiple times and as his nakama Jimbe's dead would be partially his responsability.

I think saying Jimbe is too strong to become a strawhat is a bad argument because it is a fact that the monter trio will become a lot stronger and having someone with more experiene who also is a warrior could actually help them/motivate them to train more, Jimbe could even teach them new techniques... Plus, at the end the only thing that matters is if Oda wants Jimbe to become a strawhat, if he does he will make him fit with his imagination... Plus, Jimbe has a very interesting background, information, network, the strawhat love him, they have already have many adventures together, etc... So him fitting in the group would be so much more natural/make more sense than incorporating a new/not developed character as nakama.

I think the death of a relevant character should happen if it has a purpose in the story from a narrative point of view, or if it would help give charaters development to the main ones... As I said, I think right now losing Jimbe would only make Luffy become unstble... But I can see it happening in the future, when Jimbe has alreaady been traveling with them as nakama for a few arcs, mostly fro damatic purposes.

So im not the only one thinking that Jinbe will die.. We had a confirmation from luffy that Jinbe is an official crew but the situation is a bit dim.. And what will they do? Bigmom is ready to chase Sanji, shes a yonko and we're not even halfway after grandline..

jimbe already promise ace that he would look afer him, so impossible that he would die. about how strong jimbe is, luffy still the strongest and dumbest ever, so they need jimbe too. the most importen is no SH crew would die before luffy become the pirate king. and jimbe already in( ̄∇ ̄")

Oda has been building up to jinbei joining the crew for legit years. Ain't no way in hell he's dying. Ace was enough. There's not gna be another character development through death situation. We haven't even seen the strawgats full potential yet. So far, they've just been constantly separated!! They've legit outsmarted doffy+big mom with *half* their full power. There's no reason for jinbei to die here. If anything, he's all the leveling up they need to reach the end.
