you can't say you were cheated, bc author never stated there this all will go. Besides, it is her work, she can do whatever she wants with it. Although, it is up to you if you like it or not and you can drop it whenever you want, but this is your problem alone, not author's.

Surely any content creator is reliant on their following and should be open to constructive criticism. Else why even publish your art publically and not just keep it on your own computer ? And ofcourse the author is usibg a long running series to maintain interest and as a source of income , it is what it is.
