I think that's partly due to the fact that China isn't too happy with homosexuality, and this being a Chinese webcomic could be the reason why there isn't development, I don't necessarily think it's the author always wanting to tease her audience by rather she has restrictions on what she can show to those who are reading her works. I do get the frustration, though, but hey, we can't do much about what the Chinese Government wants. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
