Actually after rereading it I noticed that Skyler probably still wants to be loved by his mother...
He probably blamed yeonduk because in a way he still wanted to believe a bit in his mother and didn't think that she would be that mean to him in everything... Of course in the years he started to doubt her more but his anger (like the guitar episode) doesn't make him think clear and he believes her words about yeonduk.

I still despise Skyler's mother because he it the blame on him as a kid for breaking her marriage. I could have understood if in the beginning she had some relationship problems with her son because of this, but to do it for his whole life and not grow up a bit, and see that the problem were you and the shitty husband, who hated a small child for not being the same as the other in his childhood.

And I noticed that I'm really starting to get annoyed by yeonduk's mother and his sister. I mean the sister doesn't give a fuck about him (I mean I also sometimes have arguments with my sister but I still notice if she's behaving strangely or if she's not well) and the mother seems to live in her own perfect world. For her Skyler and Yeonduk relationship is good and nothing that happens or the way yeonduk is makes her rethink about that?!! I understand being naive but this is just ignoring reality and just seeing what you want to see. Like that time that Skyler's mother insulted yeonduk and she didn't say anything even after she sobered up. Man if my mom was like that I would have probably screamed at her a lot of time for being superficial

Actually, yeah. I think you changed my mind about Skyler too a little bit. I think I was waiting for someone to explain his behavior in a way that negated his actions DESPITE knowing what a shitty mother he had. And I think this post was it. Actually. That was a great post all around.
