I have my suspicions that she was never going to take Skyler to his father. I think she was just going to mess with him or hurt him. Seems like the father chose not to have Sklyer in his life, otherwise he could've been taking him to the doctor or being present in his life. Theres no way the dad was ever going to take him. I wonder what the mother was really planning to do with him the day that Yeonduk jumped on the car....
