Well yeah, I'm with ya, I want them to get together, too. But I don't think that there's a need to rush. I feel that the pacing allows for this.
And it's not actually so sudden. I'm sure he has noticed the other guy's feelings and advancements towards him, and could therefore think in this chapter something otherwise sudden, like "Should I just sleep with him?"

The pacing is good! Just that you know sometimes we readers gets a little frustrated. Hahahah! Let's see how the author directs the plot from this chapter~ I'm really looking forward to it!
