Well yea, the romance is very subtle. Basically we know kaoru has feelings for her because he found her cute when he realised she's jealous of katakura. they just focused on the main point of the manga, where one can transform in who they want to be with hard work...

Can someone tell me where the romance is? Cause I can't find it here, it was good but at least show us what happened to masaki if she confessed or whatever with kaoru, really needs not a chapter but extra I guess.
