-correction- SPOILERS (KINDA, I MEAN THE RAWS ARE THERE FOR ANYONE)

I JUST read the raws for ch 4 and with the information there it is clear that the sex in ch 3 was rape. I had only seen ch 3 and honestly, i couldn't consider JUST that as rape for the reasons i stated in my comment "rape?" below. It took this look at the raws to change my mind, it shows -SPOILER- that the uke actually physically kicked the seme away after and while he did feel bad about the bruise he left, it seems more like he feels bad SPECIFICALLY about the bruise rather than that he kicked him during sex. If anything, the uke's mental/emotional state seem to be very negative and upset about what happened and the event seems to have traumatized him out of being able to "image" anything other than what happened. He's very awkward around the seme and tries to avoid him. I don't feel like "awkward" is a suitable word, he doesn't want to even look into the seme's eyes or talk to him after, it seems like he was truly traumatized. The seme continues to try to interject his way into the uke's conversations with Sasaki, understandably as he like the uke and knows he's attracted to Sasaki (or was before the rape, now it seems like all things sexual kinda repulse him and he can only "image" the seme.). The issue is HOW he does this, he goes so far as to show Sasaki the bruise he got on his stomach, bringing up a sensitive subject that the two of them had yet to even talk about that clearly disturbs the uke(the rape) to a person that the uke DEFINITELY wouldn't want to know. Frankly, it seems like he's manipulating and threatening the uke, "stay away from her or i'll tell her what happened". It seems their entire "relationship" and the way they interact has become the seme coercing the uke. At the end of ch 4 it seems like he starts to get lonely without the seme again because he pushed him away and the seme stopped chasing. Looks like he'll pull the seme back in despite all this, probably all according to the seme's plans. I guess the uke would rather suffer than be lonely, but i still don't consider this okay as, if it were the uke's choice, they would just be friends.

-CONTINUATION- there DOES seem to be a silver lining in them getting together later, seems like the uke moves past feeling just "loneliness" when the seme is gone to actually developing romantic feelings for the seme and he chooses to be with the seme himself. The rape was definitely rape and he did struggle with it but it seems that at 1st he gets lonely when the seme stops paying him attention after the outburst where the uke yells at the seme, then he spends time thinking about it and then he realizes he has real feelings because he gets jealous of a girl the seme is with, grabs the seme and runs with him before they talk, have make-up sex and officially get together. There IS this low-key feeling of irritation because it feels like everything went how the seme wanted it to go because the seme made the uke jealous on purpose and had been manipulating every aspect of their relationship such as directing the delusion to images of the two of them having sex, manipulating the uke's lonely personality by saying he'll leave and stop talking to him to get the uke to masturbate for him, constantly getting in the way of the uke and Sasaki talking, there was a scene where it looks like the uke rejects Sasaki for some reason and the seme smiled (cant tell if its one of those "deus ex machina exactly as planned" smiles or if he's just happy the uke rejected her), etc. This "manipulation" could be taken either way, was it done with negative intent (to "corrupt" the uke into not being able to even think/"image" about girls) or was it to open this straight guy up to the possibility of a gay relationship? You'll have to decide. Regardless the intentions the methods were shady and while the rape might've been the necessary "push" to get this straight guy thinking about gay sex, rape is rape and it definitely wasn't okay. I have a sour feeling right now, but that's just up to ch 5 maybe chapter 6 will have enough sweetness to curb that sour now that the seme has what he wants and wont need to manipulate the uke anymore. Honestly, personally i really don't like how they got together. It feels like the seme took the "dark path" to get the uke, like instead of "wooing" him he just manipulated him into it. It feels like the uke had no choice, i mean, after the rape he just couldn't do anything with girls... The uke is happy and feels like he made his own choice, but it feels like he took the only choice left for him.

I think i got something very important wrong here! After going through ch 3 again and taking EVERYTHING in, I don't think i was right about Kureshima actively participating in the rape. To be clear, it WAS rape, but i no longer think that Kureshima was intentionally raping Oono. I go over this in GREAT detail under my comment "so... About ch 3", more specifically in the reply i left to my comment. I think i was wrong about Kureshima's personality taking a dark turn resulting in the rape, i think that he was just having sex with the guy he likes and didn't realize till he was kicked in ch 4 that Oono didn't want it. If you want to see why i came to this conclusion, check out what i had to say up there^^^. Also, i had mentioned that i thought Kureshima showed Sasaki the bruise on purpose to scare/aggitate Oono into staying away from her, i take this back. I think Sasaki noticed it herself, asked about it, he told her he got it from somewhere and Oono felt bad about bruising him. I no longer think Kureshima is this Villain type, i just think he does some light, harmless manipulation where it matters to get Oono to face his own feelings. The masturbation scene is kinda an exception, here he is undeniably being a bit dickish, but i go into this in the comment up there^^^ as well.
