Am I the only one who thinks that Chanyoung isn't a jerk?!
I mean, He just wants his friend to find someone he will really like.
I see a lot of comments which say that it will be best if Chanyoung said the truth but...why would he? - -'
Honesty isn't always a good thing. Yes, he is lying to his friend. But would Heesu be happy to now the truth? It could end is friendship, it could makes him unsure or ashamed. Heesu isn't assuming is homosexuality at all. If his crush told him that he know, would he be okay?
Look : Heesu finds the one he loves, he will never know that Chanyoung knew that he loved him, so they still friend. No harm.
I can understand that people are angry because Chanyoung was mean in purpose, but isn't it understandable? For him, Heesu is just a friend. He doesn't want to go further. And honestly, Heesu was really a pain in the ass in the past. If I had a friend who always stick at me, and wouldn't even accept that i want to see other people, I would really hate it.
For me, Chanyoung is trully a good friend.

He really isn't. He's preserving their friendship in his own way.

I think the same thing. He is actually great friend cause he didn't tell him that he knows bc he knows he will hurt him. He want him as a friend so he wants someone else in his life. I think all three of them is precious

Nope you're part of the majority mmkay? The ones who dislike Chanyoung are the minority.

See we don't believe Heesu deserves to be treated the way he does just because of the way he monopolized Chanyoung when he was younger (as you, whether intentionally or unintentionally, implied by linking the two thoughts under one topic). On the one hand, we would be defending Chanyoung just because he was a kid while on the other we would be ignoring the fact that Heesu was a kid while attempting to monopolize the other boy. That would be hypocrisy. The majority of people tend to follow that path, though, as sad as that is.

The way Chanyoung attempted to shake off Heesu and Heesu tried to monopolize him are TWO TOTALLY SEPARATE ISSUES though. We learned that, in his flashbacks, even in the BEGINNING, Chanyoung was viewing him somewhat akin to a leech like he did all the others around him when Heesu first became attached to him. There was also never any indication that he viewed him as a friend, afterwards. Plus if all Chanyoung wanted was to shake him off, make him become less dependent (although from what I saw Heesu was like that LONG before Seungwon came on the scene), why did he still believe that he needed to create some distance between himself and Heesu when HE WAS FINALLY ASSURED THAT HE GOT WHAT HE WANTED??????

And I'm really amazed you can't see why some people think he's a jerk even after reading the most recent chapters. But again this is the path that the majority takes when presented with contrary facts: deny. When Heesu realized that Seungwon's parents were both women, what was one of the FIRST things he said: something along the lines of how it's all about perception... wasn't it? You see in people like me, the minority, that engenders the fear that he might confess his feelings to Chanyoung because he now believes that perception can be changed. Thereby revealing the truth of what Chanyoung did which would be even MORE devastating to Heesu. And look even if he DOESN'T immediately go to Chanyoung with that newfound determination if he just talks to Seungwon he'll learn the truth. After all did Chanyoung say to Seungwon that he wanted to create some distance between himself and Heesu or NOT?

Or did you miss that part too?

Given what I've read here and on Starry Skies it really seems that I was right in stating that communication was not the be all and end all of everything since as it's used here it's just an abuse enabler, people must always find a way to communicate with others unless you use abusive behavior.

It seems I was right about you being part of the majority. Fancy that. I wonder if I'm right about the other things I said now? This is only a HALF rhetorical question okay peeps?

I see your point, but I think you don't understand Chanyoung the same way I do (not in a bad way).
First, maybe in the past they weren't friend, But I really think Chanyoung care for Heesu now. He saw the changement in Heesu and he wanted to understand what was happening.
And yes, they were children. Okay. But hey, even if you grow up, if you saw that your best friend loves you, but you don't, isn't it understandable that he wants to put some distance?
Look, Chanyoung like Heesu as a friend (that's what I think), he knows that Heesu like him but he can't respond his feelings. So what does he do? He puts some distance. He wants Heesu to stop and search an other love, because he will suffer if he stays in love with him. But he can't say it : it would hurt him, and he doesn't want that.
Maybe it is not the better way to do things, but hey, Chanyoung is human. The manhwa is realistic. An hetero boy doesn't turn gay by magic.
And Heesu is not stupid, it's not because everything is about perception that Chanyoung will turn gay. Of course he can try, but WE know that Chanyoung will say no. And it will hurts Heesu. So Chanyoung lie.
People always tend to say : say the truth, it's better. Why? realy, why? In what why would it be good for them?
And I read the raws. You should wait a little before judging Chanyoung's actions in the last chapters.

Really? Sorry, I didn't read all the comments, so I tought i were the minority..

Well for me i don't actually dislike him he's great friend but you can say that there's only part of him that i don't like ( ̄∇ ̄") i don't know what is exactly ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ i just hope he won't fall in love later with hessu ( ̄へ ̄)you know to suddenly feel jealous or something coz hessu was always by his side and now he's not anymore even though that's exactly what he planned.
