You could say it's in the nature of humans or fictional characters.. it takes quite a lot of time to trust someone or to open up to this kind of things.. so i kinda get what he is feeling right now, since insecurities get the better of us sometimes even i have insecurities even, and i guess that's a normal reaction to a relationship like that, i mean both of them were originally straight and then suddenly they have feelings for each other.. so it's quite normal.. so i don't think the uke is dumb.. he is just new to this..
