I think it's like real life, you won't date your doctor just cuase he help you get better. it will be weird and not really realistic. the counselor just help him understand things, I don't think he is there to "date" him. besides he too old for him ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Ngl I shipped it too until I found out the counselor is well the counselor. The age difference would make it wrong, and I'm pretty sure it would be illegal too.
I'm genuinely surprised you didn't realise the counselor is well the counselor. I was anticipating the 'big reveal' since the early chapters (๑❛ᴗ❛๑)
in addition, it would be hard for YD to bear with the counselor's passionate speechs for Proust
