It's not a sad ending!
I thought I was the only one who liked the original design and even found him attractive. I also wish the mangaka continued with that.

Why did the mangaka change Yamazaki's look? They don't look remotely alike now. So strange.
I agree but I'm going with "to please the masses" most fans just want their characters to be super hot and they probably loudly complained about how "ugly" the character was blah blah blah. So maybe the mangaka fell under pressure or maybe their editor or publisher told them to change it. That's MY theory anyway

Too bad I like his original look better. It was refreshing to see a Yaoi character that's not super hot or cute, just average some might say ugly although I disagree. I wish the Mangaka had kept him with his original design. Getting more and more worried that this will have a sad ending. I hope I'm wrong though.
