There's actually a recent case where a guy claimed his documents were ruined during hurricane harvey (or irma? i can't remember) and so the high school let him enroll. He entered the basketball team too and they won until another coach recognized him. Perhaps all these people wanted was to relive their old glory days?
What a good read indeed! It made me curious and started searching real life situations about adults pretending to be a high school student, and I did find one news about a 34 yr old woman, omg.
