lol. I get what you mean. This is pretty chaotic, having horror and cute fluff coexisting like that, makes me confused too. All I can say is that the characters feel no remorse for someone getting eaten up alive (and blood splattering) and readers have to somehow adjust to that kind of animalistic world.
it IS yaoi. not the slice of life romance you are expecting tho. take note of the tags if you only want plain romance.

I didnt expect slice of life and romance neither. I was expecting some hot yaoi action :D Bu that manga left me irritated, its still good tho :)

And the thing is, you don’t necessarily have to get used to it. I mean, it’s just normal to get repelled by people’s gruesome death and might even be safer to keep away from overly thrilling stories. I’m afraid my sensitivity’s numbing and dying from too much stimulus from sensational mangas!
I cant really enjoy the story. My brain cant procress it. Idk if I am supposed to laugh, be scared or die because of cuteness overflow (baby-hamster). I just know the art is really something!
That alphas actually eat betas, or the rabbit eats alphas is just too much. And now I fear for the snake guy safty.
