That's besides the point, Heesu didn't know Seungwon back then, he wasn't even part of the picture. Maybe they would've, Heesu might've come out of the closet or been outed by Chanyoung if he'd been confronted, then maybe Seungwon would've approached Heesu directly instead of lying since Heesu was publicly gay... None of these "what-ifs" matter, we're going off of what is given to us, it's all we can do. What we know is that Chanyoung and Heesu were friends for a while before Chanyoung realized what was going on, they'd been friends since childhood, so the odds are they would've stayed friends. Same situation only now Heesu's been rejected and has closure and Chanyoung's actions aren't a ticking time bomb waiting to be discovered by Heesu.
You are all saying of how bad Chanyoung is...
In a negative light (reaction from feeds): He is an ass and selfish. He did not approach Heesu and bluntly say unto him.... I respect you as a friend, but sorry, I cannot return your feelings but please could we still be as friends.... And now he is butting in...
He could have approached Heesu better than that... and the list goes on of how a prick he is..
But have you ever thought that.... will the flow of the story be the same if he actually rejected Heesu early on??? Would Heesu and Souyoung (idk if I spelled that right) would cross paths and give good dating advices to Soiyoung if Heesu was devastated of the rejection (imagine Chanyoung did the rejection same as above)?
Heesu became a good love advisor and listener because others noticing him giving good advices to Chanyoung about his constant break ups.... And there, Heesu noticed Souyoung looking problematic because he is still a lovable boy who is not rejected him and there the first meeting of Heesu and Souyoung.... which is now Souyoung uses an alibi that he has a crush.... which is truthfully his long time friend named Jihu....
Truth to be told: Chanyoing actually indirectly helped with the build of the premise of the story
I am not defending Chanyoung at all... I just noticed that the author uses him as a tool for the seme and uke to actually cross paths, literally like a cupid....
I do think Chanyoung's stealthy attitude and his interruptions were very intentional and it is tend to be use as a plot device for the main couple to florish their relationship...
I do not know of traditions in Korea but... is the"cocky" prediction of love from someone that you like must be told to the that person whom do like you?
