Are there actually any Korean tv drama's which concentrate on topics such as homophobia and same-sex marriage, which were obviously the key themes of "Lover boy"?
Therefore if something like "Lover boy" were to be made into a television drama, shown on mainstream channels it would actually be regarded as quite progressive in raising awareness of such issues, and normalising lgb representation.
I think we all forget, how intolerant some countries are in terms of fair lgbt representation in the media. Even the whole "yaoi" thing can be regarded as quite regressive at times.
I'll postpone my app if 19 days at least gets animated (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I understand that it is a story about struggling female MC, but geez... the plot is not that good.
It's official. There is a Korean Drama adaptation of webtoon My ID is Gangnam Beauty. I wanted to see a Korean drama version of "Lover Boy" or 19 days. I guess it's still a no no for major network to air BL webtoons.
