TBH yes, Yuhon was cruel with the xing arc but that was 17 years. after that he changed his ways and was glad to serve his brother. Ppl can change we still don't know anything about Yuhon or what he was like back then. He was a great general and atlas cared for his ppl
Maybe he did change for the better. Or maybe he did not. The story hasn't say anything. Maybe he had no choice but to serve his brother, hence Soo Won killed King Ii for the throne to achieve what his father had failed to do. He could be a great warrior but that doesn't make him a good ruler. He could win battles but that doesn't mean he cared for his people.

Yup both of them are bad rulers, but I believe King Ii had a reason for being the cowardly King he was. Perhaps that got to do with how King Ii know that Yona is the reincarnation and why he hid it.

my thoughts exactly. king il may be hiding something and his cowardly act indeed hurts the country and yona (in the extra story that already out in mangafox - chp 157.2, it is very clear that yona suffer because of his father's stubborness).
The only thing that keeping me from bashing him is because Hak somehow has faith in king il.. but really, if it's not for that reason, king il will be my most hated character (well, before kye sook and gobi appeared of course)
and king il being bad doesn't make yu hon a good ruler. the fact that he's ruthless is still a major defect for him to be a good king. and we really shouldn't make any conclusion about his character based on the very little information we had on him. yes, willingly served under his little brother didn't mean he's changed for the better.
at this point, the best king for koka in my opinion is still soo won.
but king il reminds me of soowon. hak might have idolized what king il put out. like he seems shady to me.
Whether it's in the past or now, everyone has been trying to take the dragons' power for themselves. It's disgusting. I just hope nothing bad happens to the Yona and the dragons.
Until now, I have no idea what Soo Won's goal is. I admit that King Ii wasn't a good King, but the country will not do any better if Yu Hon was king instead. He would be a dictator, cruel and ruthless. Like how he got rid of the priests and his treatment towards the prisoners of war.
