Yea but Maya said he wouldn't hang out with him if Nemu wanted but Nemu said he would never want that nor want to give him an ultimatum. They both need to have more character development outside of the relationship as well. They don't have much problems with each other being friends with those who might like them. Its when those people make a move that's not entirely appropriate and threatens their relationship but then again their relationship is pretty stable and both aren't the type to cheat like you said.
I think my biggest problem here is how Nemu seems to have grown since volume one, while Maya... didn't. I mean, alright, he regreted raping Nemu (which is, well, thanks for not being a total trash I guess?), and decided to take college seriously. But those stuff didn't make his relationship grow, only he as a person. Whilst Nemu has been jumping hurdles from the get-go, learning how to show affection, how to compromise, how to soet his priorities, how to speak about the things that hurt him, etc. I whish Maya had to take responsibility for his shit just once in a while, so he too gets to grow as a bf.
maya gets irrationally angry when nemu goes to comfort his friend who was heartbroken and is obviously not in love with him.
and yet he continues to hang out with, work with, and take care of a dude who made his own boyfriend insecure, keeps it a secret, and to top if off with a huge fucking cherry, this dude is in love with him and obviously so. like i dont get why he wouldn't be able to understand how it would affect nemu if he found out that ruka and maya were spending time together alone.
the truth is, maya and nemu only love each other so them hanging out with other people even other people who (might) like them shouldnt be an issue because neither is the unfaithful type, at least not when they are with each other. but they are both immensely insecure people who seem to have doubts about the others love for them otherwise they wouldn't get so hurt. their communication seems to be the biggest issue in addition to the fact that neither of them seem to have experience in a serious loving relationship. i mean maya never even tells nemu he loves him while nemu actually says it, which is the total opposite of what i expected considering nemu was the reluctant one. the both got issues and need to work on themselves more. they have matured with this relationship but they need to mature outside of it too.
