I didn't said you shoudn't be celebrating, of course you can, but at the same time you have to admit that the ending could have been a better one, a win-win for everyone as far as possible. I'm sorry but who the fuck says all endings have to have a happy conclusion for everyone involved in order to be a good ending? Honestly, this was one of the most realistic endings if you take into account all the characters' love interests and traits. Everything that happens in live isn't always rainbows and sunshine, even for the best of people like Junseo. Jaewon was a piece of shit friend for not checking up on Junseo afterwards, but Junseo himself felt like the best thing to do was to part ways. In most cases it's hard to remain friends with someone who you have loved and there was literally only a 20% chance of Jaewon ending up with Junseo after he rejected him, and a 0% chance of them ending up together after Jaewon and Karam got together. Junseo is a very insecure character, not only in the way he perceives his appearance (getting super shy and emarrased no matter who compliments him despite being a handsome fucker), but also over his friendships due to what happened in middle school. Literally the only person he ever warmed up to in this webtoon was Jaewon so him reacting the way he did after Jaewon started dating Karam is no surprise, especially considering his past trauma with Jisoo (I bet y'all don't even know who that is) which makes this ending SAD (like of fucking course it's sad, he literally got his heart broken for the second time, nobody would be happy over a nice character like him having a sad ending) but REALISTIC.
Was it rushed? Depends on who you wanted Jaewon to end up with. Was it a disappointing ending? Depends on who you wanted Jaewon to end up with. Was it a creation of Satan with the worst ending of all time? Uh, no.
The fact that Junseo got such a detailed backstory really makes me think there'll be a sequel or side story focusing on him, but with the way people like you guys are acting it wouldn't surprise me if the author got traumatized and scrapped that idea entirely, or even stops writing webtoons for good. Truly disgusting.

1- If you aren't able to give your characters (all of them) a proper ending (be it a good one or a bad one, i mean a fucking conclusion) I'm sorry to tell you that you are not such a good writer.
2-It's funny that you mention the realism in this story, because Karam falling in love with Jaewon is not that realistic. (he wasn't even gay)
3- was it rushed? it was, this has so much potential yet out of the blue karam falled in love with him, and after that the end. I mean, she could have give to the ship so much more moments, so much more development, yet she decided to end it quickly (the shit storm that was going to fall upon her) lazy writing all over it
4- was a disappointing ending? It was. the reasons? number 1, 2 and 3.
5- Was it a creation of Satan with the worst ending of all time? Of course no, it could have been much worse, but if you are the artist, and as an artist you want to know your readers oppion, the 90% are disappointed, hurt, sad, and wish to never have read your story. Not such a good thing to hear right?
Is her fault for chosing karam as an end game? no, it's not. but it is her fault that people got fond of junseo more, and is her fault to make him fall in love with jaewon, and is her fault to show him more than any other character aside the mc, and is her fault to give him nothing at the end, and is her fault to make him broke his promise to still be friends with jaewon, ending their friendship all of a sudden.

But we don't know her plans. Maybe she intends to continue in a sequel or spinoff. It may be a setup to his own story. As for the friendship ending..it makes a ton of sense. Why would Junseo want to remain friends freshly after having his heart broken? Can you imagine the torture of hanging out with Jaewon and hearing about Karam or even him having to see them together? Or even just knowing they are together and he was rejected. If it's just left like this I agree it's sad but ppl jumped the gun and I hope if the author did have plans it doesn't scare her into scraping them.

Obviously it's reasonable and understandable, but why did she made him promise to remain being his friend in the first place just to make him break that promise two chapters later? Why not cut ties immediately if those were her plans? or better, why make him fall in love with him? With what purpose?

Did he really break his promise? We're seeing one pov but not both. Time apart for a while doesn't mean the friendship is over. He just needs time to heal. I wouldn't be surprised if later we get a Junseo chapter which could lead to his own story and he doesn't see it that way.
