I think is more about Nozomu thinking about their difference in feelings.
Shiro likes him (quite obvious, and won't push him too far), but what does Nozomu feel? He tossed away the fruits without a care, why?
Oh that would be a good thing! It's obvious that Nozomu now is more interested in Shiro one way or the other after Shiro complimented him and they kissed but it's still a mystery as to why Nozomu started their relationship.
Because of the dropped fruits it's clear that Nozomu didn't care for Shiro at all at first (At least that's how I see it) so I'm curious to see Nozomu's reason for this.
Right. There is a reason Nozomu pursued him, but it might have simply started out as interest. Curiosity, etc.
However, why was he there that night at that statue? Did he hear something? Or was he going to write someone's name? Whose?
Either way, he is now feeling guilty about that tossed gift because he is falling.
