All I know is that some kinda powerful guy hates Yashiro and is giving him shit but I just skip the parts of them and go straight to the parts with Yashiro and/or Doumeki xD
Top group - Doushinkai group (Misumi is a board member who is heading to be the leader) (Amou is his step son from a short marriage with a previous mistress). (Misumi's right hand man was killed by Hirata)
Sub group- Shinseikai group (was previously headed by Misumi, but he made Yashiro his "son" and boss of this group). (Nanahara is Yashiro's right hand man) (Sugimoto is Yashiro's underling) (Doumeki is Yashiro's bodyguard and driver).
Sub group- Matsubara group (Ryuzaki is the head of this group, and also exchanged sake with Yashiro making them group brothers. Ryuzaki knew Yashiro when he was 19 and being used as a group tart for his men)
Sub group- Chokuseikai (headed by Hirata, started off as hoodlum who Misumi absorbed into his group, who wants to be higher up with the Doushinkai group, so he is annoyed that Misumi made Yashiro his "son" and gave him the position of boss seeing) (Hirata killed Misumi's right hand man, Kurabane who, like Doumeki said he valued his boss over the group, and now he is trying to kill Yashiro due to Yashiro knowing about the Chokuseiki group dealing drugs, which goes against the Doushinkai's policy, also Hirata views Yashiro badly, and wants him gone so he can get closer to Misumi and raise his own status within the Doushunkai group.
They are the more prominent characters and a break down of the groups and who belongs to them, the sub groups might be rivals but the leaders are all part of the "family' .

Misumi made Yoshiro second in command to hirata. Hirata worked from the bottom up (after secretly killing Misumi'so right hand)so he' s jealous. So he built up his cash reserves with drug sales. Ryuz sold them, Gouda supplied em.Hirata got Ryu to put a hit out on Yoshiro b/c he figured it all out. Ryu is loyal to Yoshioka cause they go back so he didn't kill him and he turned on hirata. Now hirata betrayed the gouda and framed Yoshiro. That is the gist
