The last chapter really touched me so I took it upon myself to read the whole series again. I've already commented twice today on this update but there's one more thing I absolutely need to share. I've observed every single panel carefully since chapter 1 and I've figured out something I didn't notice the first time reading it. I'm pretty sure Sangwoo is obsessed with Bum, possibly even in love. Now, I know it doesn't seem like it because he's a narcissistic, manipulative, delusioned killer psychopath.. but I honestly have many reasons to believe that Sangwoo is actually the one that cannot live without Bum. If you don't think this is the case then try looking over the series again. I always thought that Bum was nothing but a toy to Sangwoo so the last chapter really troubled me. I couldn't figure out why Sangwoo was so conflicted. Sangwoo has always been really affectionate, and I never noticed it before. I'm definitely not saying that this changes anything. He's still a sadistic, sick bastard.. I'm not denying that fact. But try looking at it from Sangwoo's perspective. Read it again while ignoring the blood and gore. For Sangwoo, killing someone is not a big deal. Looking at it from Bum's perspective, we know that Sangwoo's behavior isn't normal and so we only understand his abusive side. Sangwoo only ever tortures him when things don't turn out his way.. The real reason Sangwoo forced Bum to kill that girl was because that was the only way they could stay together forever. Now that Bum is a criminal too, he knows that he cannot go to the police. He was also technically part of the homicide. So far, there's two incidents in which Sangwoo thought that Bum left him. 1, when he couldn't find him and went ape shit and 2, when Bum slit his wrist and nearly died. Observing the way Sangwoo reacted to those two events, it's clear to see that, despite his heartless actions, Bum is a very important person to him. He just doesn't know how to express himself properly and behaves the way his father did to him. It's like he can't tell the difference between love and pain. There's so many times that Sangwoo goes out of character, I think the author does that on purpose. Bum is the only person Sangwoo has ever opened up to and still indures his abuse anyways. Bum stays with Sangwoo because he doesn't have any friends or family that are waiting for him back home. He'd rather be with Sangwoo than with his uncle, because he believes that he'll protect him... Though it comes at a cost. Sangwoo wants to be the only person to harm Bum.... So that he has a special place in Bum's thoughts.. Even if that means it has to be negative ones..
I'm sorry, this is so messy. I've been up all night obsessing over this, please share your thoughts.

When i read this, I always look at sangwoo's perspective and we had the same thoughts. Also Sangwoo sees his mother from "bum" but I believe that sangwoo killed her mother because he wanted her to be free from the pain she was feeling at that time. And that was him showing his love for his mom. He thought he freed her from all the pain. Because he grew up in an environment where no one teaches him how to handle love or to be loved, he is loving and moving by instinct or what he think is right. He does love bum but because he knows that he was that kind of man, he wants bum to run away from him but at the same time he wants to cage him up. I think the clown represents how mess up he is.

I believe it's chapter 27. Check it out, it's so heartbreaking. I'd definitely say that reading it a second time was so much more upsetting than when I originally did ( ̄∇ ̄")

I agree, this is how i felt while reading this, he's loving Bum in his own crazy way. Thankfully he's getting gentler. It honestly seemed like the shared kill was a proposal from Sangwoo to Bum.

A shared proposal is a great what to say it. That's exactly what it seemed like.
