The Fact though

It seems that all of us here avoids the fact that Soo won is really fitted to be the king. Yes there might be some betrayal relationships with yona but Soo won is saving the kouka kingdom in its fall. We should not avoid the fact that he reunited the tribes of kouka and travel to every part of kouka to save its country. It is just that Yona is always the first who can solve and save others but Soo won is making a move.
Just a thought though because it seems like all of us here is avoiding the fact. Well if Soo won's character only a little bit violent antagonist then maybe I can really hate him but I really cant. Huhuhu

    I couldn't agree more

same, I can't really hate Soo Won because he's really capable and we should not forget that he never harmed the Happy Hungry bunch (well, of course, except the time he chased yona and hak out of the palace). I think, there's someone behind all these... it would be too obvious if it's Soo won. also zeno (and kija, if i remember it right) never felt any bad vibes from him.

I don't think anyone is avoiding that fact. It is just so obvious that we don't mention it (at least that is what I think). In the end Soo Won is just that, the needed "evil" in order for a change to occur.
I admit there must be people that don't approve of his ways, but that is the magic in his character, a villain that we can't help but love. It is a pity indeed that he had to betray his friends in order to achieve his goal, and yet it had to be done.
I can't wait to see what happens with him, Yona and Hak in the future! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I mean, i agree on the "can't hate part"
i think almost everyone pretty much acknowledge Soo Won's capability as a king. It's just they feel, he and his subordinates are kinda shady.

Well that adviser of his is indeed a pain and a bit annoying, so I can't deny that.

wouldn't it be interesting if king il was alive. I don't know,,and that can prompt soowon to break down and have his own arc ......WHICH WE ALL ARE WAITING FOR

gives me some code geass vibes.
the necessary evil trying to fix everything, and the other good person who just helps others cause it's their nature. with probably a matching ending of "have the best friend kill me, yona gets the throne".

I am like yona and hak. I know his good and bad. i'm pissed as hell about it. but I don't hate nor like him. I get what he is doing and why. even the four dragons feel no malice from the guy.

In the end he is only trying to fix things in the best way he ca think about, by using his mind and coming up with strategies to build up the forces of the kingdom. While it might be a harsh decision, he is succeeding in what he is doing, there is no denying it. He only wishes good for the kingdom and its people.
