The only problem is Anton couldn't have known about any of that when he first got obsessed with Arwin. He only found out about that (Arwin's relationship with his father, his mixed heritage) as a consequence of his initial obsession. If you think about what actually made Anton want Arwin initially, and Arwin reject Anton it says nothing good about either of them.
