you said you don't see a problem with it. And no, i don't mean anything specific. My main point is : you don't see a problem with rape, alright, you say it's just something related to the plot, that it being in the story isn't mean to influence anyone...
But what about other fictional works centered around taboos or morally unaccepted practices? Are those also acceptable to you or are there any that you absolutely can't get on board with? (i know most rapes in mangas are portrayed as something mild and there are way more grotesque things out there, but do you agree that those also should be read for pleasure? or at all?)

I don't have a problem with death in fictional work or when someone get killed.
It's depends how it's shown tho. If they said that rape was the victim fault because how he=she dressed I think I wouldn't like it but in Omega verse, rape is often used to make clear that Alphas can't control themselves because of the pheromones. It's the same with death the most of us would celebrate if a character dies that we didn't like, even when he is killed in the most brutal way.
First I have to say we read Novels and mangas for our pleasure not for education, for education we read mathbooks or something like that.
We read Books for our pleasure to escape reality so we read something that's not near reality. That's why many of us don't see a problem with rape in fictional text cause we can separate fiction and non-fiction.
