Well Ruka would only contact him when he has his heat. In chapter one Ruka basically said that he only needs Tai's dick. Since they are mates and a omega can only do it with their mates during their heat. And if you read chapter 2 when Ruka invited Taise over Tai looked happy. And hurt by knowing that Ruka had somebody else. You can see from his expressions. They are both at fault. If they could only communicate with each other.

I hate how everyone is calling him dumb because he wants to let him go. From the beginning it did look like The seme didn’t even have any interest in him.
