He’s gross and creepy but he has a sympathetic backstory and in the story he’s very much portrayed as the lesser of two evils, considering Sangwoo is a literal serial killer.
I think the fans tend do tend to downplay how weird and creepy he is in order to focus on his more endearing and sympathetic qualities.
