I mean the main character had a connection with a camel that was a big part of the story. Out of all the names to be chosen out there I just thought it would be intentional
i don't know but still bare in mind that it was originally written in japanese so i don't think that kamel has the same sound as camel in japanese . but i totally i get your point so you can also be right only the mangaka knows

Maybe both of you are right. We should just check the raws to know. Camel in Japanese is Camel but I don’ know how it was written here.
Ignoring the fuckery that was the last couple chapters I just realized after many a reread that kamel -> camel how did I not see that and why do I sound them our so differently?
