Hello, my fellow Dane!
The uke had felt rejected in the past when he had tried to confess to the seme, so he quickly made it seem like a joke instead to save their friendship. He then realised that behaving jokingly made it much easier being "honest" about his feelings. If you read the whole thing it's actually not got the whole "worn-out trope" feel to it. Definitely recomend if you have the money!
(I bought it and read it on Renta - ebookrenta.com )

Was it me, or did the seme in the end want the uke but then it was the uke who then for the normal stupid trope uke reasoning ran out? I just felt like I got most of the story in the 1st ch. and can predict the rest.
