He’s thinking “I’m not going to be swayed by love”. I think he just subconsciously admitted his feelings. Why would he be worried about being swayed by live if he didn’t know deep down that he might already be walking that dangerous line? In context he was thinking of DG and his feelings toward Alex, but even so Alex has been a hard a$$ all this time that it makes no sense for him to be scared of being swayed by love in regards to the feelings DG has for him. I think he has to be talking about himself and his feelings
