I've decided to go anonymous to ask this-- but why is it that some fujoshi's & fudanshi's obsess over BL, yet they don't like GL? It kinda makes me sad because they (some of them, not all) are supportive when it comes to BL but when it's about GL, they're just like, "Meh, whatever.".

I'm of course referencing to real life AND yuri/yaoi.

Probably has to do with the genre itself. It's sort of like saying you like shounen over shojo manga. They are completely different genres with unique tropes, plots, etc.

It could be bc of readers sexuality and preferences I guess! Or it could be that good stories aren't getting the promotion they should!

Like the user above said....I'm a straight female so i wanna see guys, not girls. I'll read shoujo ai because there are some really cute ones but I'm not interested in yuri.

Because they're generally straight, and thus prefer seeing guys over girls.

Personally I do read some yuri but not a lot because most of them are not my style or I just don't find as entertaining. A lot of BL is targeted towards a certain audience (typically girls) with bl being a little more popular I find theirs generally more BL then GL options which means more variety.

I believe in what both of the anonymous above because yaoi and yuri are different genres and, more specifically cater to different audiences. Yaoi is generally made for gay men or straight women while yuri is made for lesbian women or straight men (from personal experience), so it makes sense that people who like yaoi might not like yuri too.

The only thing that is kinda annoying is if people like yaoi or yuri but don’t support gay rights in rea life.

Ill be honest I search up relationship goals, gay relationship goals and lesbian relationship goals inyoutube. I enjoy watching it and it makes me so jealous sometimes. I enjoy reading yaoi/yuri too. It really just depends on the person if they'll enjoy a certain thing. We cant force all the people to love what we love.

Cause Most fujoshis are hella STRAIGHT, but still be supporting the gay pride

It’s either one of two reasons- fujoshis are straight so seeing girl on girl action isn’t for them or
Reason Two- lots of GL artists are men and the way they decipher lesbians (way too submissive or weird as shit relaionships) and even the way they draw girls tits is a turn off

I’m for reason two because I’m bisexual

Because as a straight girl you wouldn’t have any interest in seeing girls but two handsome men or more now that serves much better Personally it’s much more amusing
