I advice you to read MODS there’s no tragedy concerning the main characters, if that’s what worries you.

I just dont like main stories of yakuza. nothing new except for the heavy drama. )
Haru (blonde man) was partners with Shigure, both were active members of the yakuza with Shigure being the son of the boss. However, Shigure had to cut his pinky off, and both Haru and Shigure left the group as yakuza to run a brothel that was still affiliated with the group. Shigure was more tender and caring out of the two. I don't know why he died, but it's worthwhile to read the prequel Mods, it's a good plot.
MODS is less based on yakuza than this one. It's more about prostitution and in all, it's a really good story with lots of émotions.
