I must admit...i kind of dislike how the story has turned edward and Yuri into bad charact...

Well they were originally a game where they were following the bad route where the main is on the downfall result, so if you're going by those rules it is perfectly normal for them to take up the villain roles until they're made to realize their faults and come to realize they were wrong.

Wait I take that back, Yuri was the villain character made to stand against Iris and will do anything to have everything Iris has. She wanted Prince Edward, got him; wanted in the Conglomerate that is run by "Iris Fief", got in; wanted everything to go her way, is getting there step by step; wants anything and everything the Conglomerate has or could have to offer, Edward is willing to stop at nothing to please her.

Yuri has done the unthinkable, she is tearing down the royalties ways to keep living a life of luxuries even if there is no money. Yuri was the villain to begin with, Edward is her pawn as is every other male. Iris had managed to wrench Bern, her brother from Yuri's grip and made him see the truth as you saw. Bern has come to both pity and respect his sister and will stand by her side now with ever intention to protect her.

Iris may have a lot to work to do, but she is a small girl tossed into a world that was a game to her in the beginning. She's determined to make her life stable even if the world around her crumbles, so if there is a villain like Yuri, she can't harm Iris or the people in her fief as she builds it to keep them safe and properly taken care of.

I forgot to mention, while Iris does her work, she doesn't do it to fix her image only the land her family tends to. She had no need or want to return to the world she fell from, she was content doing the work of the fief.

It takes time to unravel the work of a game to change it to make it more real. You have to keep in mind Iris was made to appear the villain in the game because of a little thing called Jealousy that Yuri caused. Yuri was the love rival in the game who does everything to get Iris out and finally wins.

I play too many of them games and read too many plots xD

are you sure about that? i think if you go back to the beginning Iris is the villian in the game the mc was playing not Yuri...i am fairly sure the dating type game it was was that you 'played' as Yuri who was a more 'commoner' class and the prince fell in love with her and Iris the original fiance goes bad to try and stop it?

Which means if we're looking at this from the games point of view the current roles of Ed and Yuri are very twisted, and i should mention...i mean it's in the description but she besically reincarnates into the games ending scene where the bad girl Iris is supposed to get her 'just desserts' but she sort of turns it on a head so she isn't seen as the bitca the game character was.

Also i am aware that she isn't doing everything for the people to straight up change her image but in a way she is, she's come in on a character who already has a somewhat pre defined personality but since that's not HER actually personality she is working as Iris to show everyone that she is capable of creating a better world, i think it would be naive to say she wasn't doing some of it so that people see her in a better light, or in her case see her as whom she really is instead of the person Yuri and Ed would have made her look like.

hopefully that makes sense...it's a bit crazy talking about one person as two separate people lol

p.s. the MC who reincarnated as Iris is not a small girl....she was previously a Tax agent so she's obviously someone who has smarts and life experience already so i don't really view her as some small innocent butterfly, i do think she can stand on her own rather well.

XD True, true, I may have to re-read it again. She is living it better in this world then she was when she was a Tax Agent.

She said in the earliest chapters that she shares the good intuition and memories of the previous owner of the body.

And Iris wasnt a crazy "Love rival" from before since it was only a pitiful jealousy which is understandable since Iris and Ed had been together for years, only to be seperated by, not a commoner but a baron's daughter.

Otome games has always been focusing on the protagonists, but everyone always has a story and a reason as to why they've turned into these "antagonist" we see (Good thing mystic messenger wasnt like that)

You gotta understand that Iris was still a student. And I'm saying "was" because she was dropped out of school which is a huge controversy to a noble family.

The only lacking personality of the previous Iris was Dignity, and patience. And a will to actually reveal the true intentions of Yuri and have her executed. That wouldve been satisfying.

Jokes aside when a protagonist isnt being played by the player then they will reveal their true self since nobody is controlling her now.

Just like you said. Iris isnt the old Iris that was in the game but remember that you were the one who was covering the ill-intentions of Yuri in the game. She wouldnt make her way into becoming a fiance if it wasnt the player's help.

It was Yuri's good ending but Iris's Bad one.

I do understand that i was generalizing a bit, and in general otome games like manga are pretty crazy stories that and most often not realistic, but i still think if we consider Yuri's character on real life games of a similar variety well i personally have never run into a game where the two 'main' love interests were so twisted, i do know that in some games you have multiple love interests with different personalities but don't they tend to make the games MC pretty innocent?

also i think it has been mentioned a few times that while Iris's character loved the prince i don't think he was ever really in love with her? i mean thats the feeling i got from a few different statements but i could be wrong..at the end of the day i still think those characters are being used a bit oddly but who knows there's maybe even more behind it we don't know yet.

Oh no, Ed was in love with her. Emphasize on the was lol. Men's heart changes quickly and so are women in general. We saw how Bern changed for Iris and it was really sweet.

But I wouldn't expect Ed to do the same. Since he was dumb and naive to begin with ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
