I think the speculation about Bum looks like sangwoo's mom has been around for long..it started since sangwoo jerked off to the sight of Bum hanging in the basement...some commenters here started the speculation. All u said cud be true. Lil sangwoo looks like bum and sangwoo's mom looked like Bum....that or Koogi totally run out of imagination to draw new faces lol
I mean, it could be just that, but it would seem pretty "basic" after using the mother's face as a cliffhanger like it means something important. Everyone knew Sangwoo related Bum to his mother somehow. I think the use of the mother's face has to reveal something bigger than just that, we'll see.

No, I'm pretty sure if anything they might be cousins, cause you remember how the uncle complained that both Bums mom and dad got what they deserved ? aka their deaths? Well, it implies that the parents Bum had were his real parents. And since Sangwoo's mom lived single after the death of the husbando its not likely that it could have been the same people. The timelines just wouldn't match up. ╮(▰)￣▽￣)╭ ✧
THEY ARE NOT BROTHERS, or related what so ever. This is just another chase of two asian people looking alike(Yoonbum and Sangwoo's mother). Yoonbum's parents died so as a result he had to live with his uncle. His uncle use to date Yoonbum's mother but Yoonbums mom left his uncle for his father and then they had Yoonbum.
The author used foreshadowing in the beginning when Bum said he was a relative while trying to get in. Sangwoo's mother had Bum before having Sangwoo, she left Bum's father and started a new family where she had Sangwoo, Bum's father got a new wife, and later they died. Bum's uncle knew this, he said Bum was just like her mother (sangwoo's mother), and he resented her brother for getting the beautiful one (sangwoo's mother again). That's what i think, also the physical resemblance between the two wasn't the trigger of the OTP (it was Bum's behaviour), so it doesn't make sense to emphasize the mother's face to say "big reveal, Sangwoo "loves" Bum because he looks like his mother".
