omg i agree sooo much, everyone is saying "oh you all forgive alex now right! hah!" and i'm like lol -_-. Alex has more problems than just a bad break up, because that does not explain the jealousy + double penetration without permission BS or the acting like DG doesn't exist bs. He's just mean and if he was hurt by love you'd think he wouldn't do it to someone else...........

And I think DG is way too low on self esteem, like he forgives everything just because he thinks it's good enough to have any of alex's attention at all.

I don't see anyone on here saying they forgive Jiwon or anything similar

Well....you can't but you can post links. I haven't seen any comment on Mangago that said "I forgive Jiwon for what he did".

They don't have a relationship, they had a loose "agreement" and are at the same university. DG overstepped their agreed boundary. DG isn't doing anything wrong, he's just being a nice person, who idolises "Alex". Did Jiwon choosing to ignore DG for a few days, upset and confuse DG? yes. Was it an unproductive way to handle his trauma, yes, but it was an understandable, common response (flight and avoidance. A bit of objectivity.

It's about being objective. It's about trying to understand the perspective of both characters and have a bystander, impartial opinion. Jiwon's response to his trauma was understandable, DG's time with him was triggering panic attacks and he needed time to come to terms with what their relationship is/could be. Avoidance and the flight response as a means to self protect are common coping mechanisms. It is what it is. From DG's perspective though, he didn't try to understand that Jiwon might be having some personal issues, but instead wrongly blamed himself and being ignored for a few days left him deflated and confused. Before chapter 35 they hadn't really had much of a conversation together, they aren't friends, but had an agreement to be "sex buddies". DG overstepped this by wanting to go on a date, and constantly texting Jiwon. It's not to say DG behaved wrongly, but from Jiwon's perspective he put up this high wall in order to protect himself. DG idolising the Jiwon he sees at university or Alex on screen doesn't mean he yet knows or loves the real Jiwon, just as Jiwon hasn't verbally conveyed personal attachment to DG yet. Things seemed to have turned around in chapter 35, DG seems content, maybe in the next chapter he might be more vocal about how he felt during the few days Jiwon ignored him though.

You're not being objective though. Objectively, Jiwon is not having panic attacks, he's just sad / upset and having nightmares. Waking up from a nightmare is not the same as waking up from a panic attack, I've done both. Neither is pleasant but one is debilitating and needs medical attention, the other can be worked through in time, as with all heartbreaks.

Next, the cheating ex is a common yaoi trope and I haven't seen any semes do what Alex is doing to DG unless the work itself is not meant to be realistic but more like the author's wet dream (lol). And even THEN they don't do it unless someone has a pain / masochism kink. That should alert you to something.

You keep saying that DG overstepped bounds but casually chatting with someone you're having sex with is objectively WITHIN bounds. He didn't say "we're just going to have sex and ignore common decency in all of our other social engagements" he said "we're going to have sex but don't get feelings for me"

You can't defend Jiwon by saying "they're not friends" that is objectively not a human thing and definitely not understandable. They're having sex for fuck's sake. I'm not sure if you've done the thing but a repeat partner is not a stranger you ignore otherwise. DG is not someone's sex doll. And DG has been MORE than understanding lmfao.

And I don't think things have turned around, idk why anyone does lmfao. This ship is going to take at least 10 chapters to turn around, if not more.

Clouds never said Jiwon should be forgiven. They said that Jiwon avoiding DG was typical, common behavior. And it is, their opinion wasn't even close to being interpreted as Jiwon needs forgiveness because of his past. More so of, Jiwon is behaving this way because of his past. Clouds, like me is an objective reader, looking at facts and information given instead of relying on personal feelings/experience/ideas which majority of the readers here are doing (subjective reading)

There is no such thing as objective reading lmfao. Clouds also thinks Alex is having panic attacks which the facts of the content dont point to. You guys are cute. Stories are only interesting because you relate to them and that is never objective. It's really weird how you think that's some sort of science loooololll. Do you live your life objectively too??

Also you said "No one here is forgiving Jiwon or anything similar" –– calling his behavior understandable is objectively similar to forgiveness because there is a layer of excusing it in saying that, whereas saying "I understand that there is back story for his behavior but it is still inexcusable" does not excuse it and would be fine. People here are just picking up on the implicit excuses / rationalizing and they don't want any piece of it.
