I think its more that even if Hakushima noticed and accepted Natsuka's feelings he wouldn't accept Natuka's feelings with the same intensity. Seno know Natsuka was sort of crazy in his love and loved Natsuka because of it. Hakushima didn't really see the same sides of Natsuka, just the good sides really.
Its not belittling Natsuka's feelings but just saying Seno's are probably stronger then his could have been, from his point of view at least.

as someone who actually wanted Natsuka to get with Hakushima when Hakushima was like "could that have been me? no, cuz im not Seno" it was just like a slap to the face cuz UHHH YEAH IT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU ???
