Thank you for sharing your point, and I agree with you. I was confused when he said "I win" I though he said that because he finally made Yoon bum to fall in love with him so he can control him and use him. I don't think Sangwoo is in love with him.
I was confused too with the “I win” statement. My first thought was the same as yours. That he was saying the finally ‘won’ Bum or something. But that didn’t make sense to me because Bum had feelings for Sangwoo all along.
*sigh* Poor unlucky Bum.
I think Sangwoo’s behavior totally has a purpose. As much as I’d love for him to genuinely feel affection for Bum…I don’t think that’s what’s happening here.
Sangwoo is a clever, narcissistic, sociopath. IF he’s even capable of love is questionable at this point. And if he can, I doubt he can express it in a healthy way.
No as much as he says he ‘doesn’t plan’ everything so far has shown the opposite. A big part of season one was Sangwoo ‘grooming’ Bum, training him to obey him.
I don’t think that’s the main motivation behind this 180 change in behavior though. I think Sangwoo is trying to prove he’s not like his father. He even has a semi-meltdown about it when he starts seeing his mom in Bum season one.
He’s playing the role of his father and he’s treating Bum like how his mom should have been treated. That’s why he treats Bum like a girl sometimes.
I’m having doubts on whether he actually is attracted to Bum. Because he threw up after Bum wanted a blowjob. Then he says “I win” because he’s treating his ‘wife’ better than his dad did.
