I read it just yesterday and oh dear it was so heart-whelming and heart breaking at the same time but I'd recommend it.

Miyamoto kano's works are quite realistic(Escape, Hydra for example)

I think it's over rated to be honest, also the drama, and lifestyle (murder, rock stars) isn't exactly realistic to say the least.

Obviously others might disagree though, so sorry for being abrupt. Personally, I like Yoneda Kou and Tomoko Yamashita for more realistic characters, but others might disagree. The format is manga too, whereas some of the Korean webtoons are very current in terms of fashion trends etc which some people might associate as realism, as opposed to a more slower paced, bittersweet manga like the ones I have suggested.

Not necessarily. As not everyone is from Asian countries where such prejudice is unfortunately more common, so the "realistic" experience, where discrimination is norm isn't going to to be realistic for those elsewhere in the world. It's like all those Japanese mangas which show gay men having to get married to a woman, just to make their parents happy, which seems absurd to those of us who have legal same sex marriage in our countries, and such lavender or sham marriages are regarded as a thing from the dark past.
