Sure Bakugo, crush that decent dude's dreams so you can spend some more time with that whiny daddy's boy whose hobbies include studying you like an animal and having you tortured for science. Brilliant idea... Why the fuck is this writer trying to make the least likable relationship possibility the only one available at all after introducing a much better potential option? Just seems like pointless hope raising followed by a subsequent heart stomping.

I think you're forgetting the part where Lu has massive bouts of blacking out and attacking people and taking whole chunks of flesh out of them. Ever think that just maybe he's doing this for the safety of his ex? Imagine how horrible it would be if you suddenly come back to your senses and your other half is dead with his neck in chunks while you have the taste of his blood in your mouth

Yes, just when he doesn't take his meds, which he seems to need thanks to psycho bro the science guy because it looked like he murdered him in the first place to turn him into what he has become. All he needs from that dude is his meds, as long as he takes those he and his ex could live a perfectly normal life. But noooo, Sadsack McSociopath has to hold him hostage and bribe him with meds for continuous study and torture sessions with no happiness allowed...

Regardless if even we're to put this story in the context of our world, if you really think meds would suffice an "anomaly" like this, then you're just as brain dead as the main character. Do you really think everything is sugar spice and evrything nice if we even followed your "alternate" choice? Someone is bound to flip their shit even if it is not the main character. Plus how sure are you that An doesn't have feelings? We don't even fully know who and how the characters got to where they are. This story is just starting, so I suggest keeping our minds open to possibilities.

Who said anything about "our world?" Clearly none of this is a feasible possibility in our world, but in the world of the manga, regular medication (daily injections) are what is successfully preventing him from losing control of his illness. This is the plain logic of the story itself and the reason that Bakugo had to shut down his ex is because off-brand Sasuke's daddy told him that Bakugo having any emotional reactions either too high or too low could disrupt the recording of data for his biological examinations. Therefore, because his daddy, who is a mad scientist with zero moral or ethical fibers in his body, asked him to keep Bakugo from being too happy in the name of science he crushed his dreams and those of his ex to continue completely inhumane whacky ass tests, making him a douchebag.

    Also, for the further questions:
    A) "How do you know everything's sugar and spice in the alternative match up?:" Never said I did, but literally anything is better than falling for the person who had you murdered and turned into a lab rat.
    B) "How do you know off-brand Sasuke doesn't have feelings?": Who cares if he has feelings? He had him murdered, horribly tortured and treated like an animal, crushing all hopes for happiness and outside connections along the way. It's practically impossible to find a worse person to be in a relationship with and the author presented a perfectly normal (especially by those standards) alternative and just pissed it away for seemingly no reason but evoking the feels (and also the facepalms).

Actually, throughout the story there is more than one person competing for Lulang. (Or Bakugo, or Ka-chan, haha!)

Ah, I was just saying so since you wrote that there was only one relationship that was possibly available. The relationship here is not set stone and the author does a great job eventually making the readers torn between the sides. So, I wouldn't quite say there will be a "heart stomping", depending on the side you pick.

(Although, I'm not sure that you were being sarcastic or not, my bad.)
