The idea behind this manga was so heavy, I literally had to stop a few time while reading to breathe.
The question of 'social conformity' versus 'emotions' and even the general topic of 'incest' is a pretty bitter pill to swallow and gave the story that melancholy vibe, but the author dressed it up pretty well with the time slip to make it easier for readers to bear instead of just coming straight out with the fact that this boy wholly and solely fell in love with his dad.
I'd say the ending was pretty satisfying, since the author was obviously going for HE, doing anything else would have made for a bitter parting or even maybe end in tragedy from either of the two being unable to bear the pain of separation and having to hide behind a fragile, almost nonexistent father-son relationship.
There are a lot of twincests yaoi out there and most of them hide behind the 'I've loved you since I was born' thrope to explain the feelings of attraction between siblings, but this just went for the gold, plainly asserting the fact that Ryou was in love with his father because he fell in love with the guy, no excuses and I liked that.
Well, I wrote a lot more than i expected when i set out to say that I really liked this manga. All that's left to say now is, "Thank you, Sensei!"
