Have you tried "Nonbiri VRMMOki"? He's not underappreciated, but the sisters and their friend all treat him as the princess they have to protect.

I was craving to read something RPGish where the protagonist is not the combat type but the underappreciated support type character like those healers, merchants, bards, support-type mages and the like. Having read the first few chapters, I might get hooked since in an MMO games I always chose those types plus Fenrir reminds me somewhat of the glutton Nyanko-sensei.
