I don't think he's trying to "get even", as he is trying to avoid the same emotional attachment he had with his past relationship, and told DG from the start to not get his hopes up and envisage them as being partners. Easier said than done and Jiwon recognises that DG is in love with "Alex" and he doesn't want to expose himself or DG to the upset he associates with that emotion. Also, I guess Jiwon is feeling a bit exposed now, as DG saw him in such a drunken state, and crying about his ex in his sleep. DG is basically completely unaware that he lifting the lid on all of Jiwon's insecurities that he's been trying to hide. I think Jiwon does see himself at 18/19 in DG currently, hence why he didn't want to see him at first, and is now trying to break things off of DG wants anything serious. He's hurting DG, but not intentionally, and ultimately the person who is being hurt the most by his "hyung" is still Jiwon, as in response to this, he created such a false and guarded image of himself, be it at university, or for his job.
maybe it's a subconscious agenda i dunno and don't care, cause Alex can "hit his head against the wall for however long he choses" cause he is the one who has to live with the consequences. but when he "drags" someone innocent into the equation then its damn right we should demand he stop being a little shit and get over "it".
From the start he was hot for DJ and he knew that DJ was a virgin and that fact only add "oil to the flame", he manipulated DJ into this farce of a agreement to get what he wanted, and from the get go he used him without compassion, not emotionally and for sure not physically.
