I don’t feel like Chanwoo is giving DG false hope. From the beginning of his advice he told dg to leave alex alone or to just use him and leave. However, dg said he doesn’t want to do that, which is where Chanwoo starts giving him advice on what to do in his situation. In the end, Chanwoo still recommends dg for leaving him alone. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Chanwoo didn't give him false hope. He said to think about his future and what makes him happy. He actually told him to move on and leave Jiwon alone to keep himself from getting hurt.
