Romantic attraction is different than sexual attraction, I think you are confusing the two here. Though you can totally be both aro and ace, I am asexual and grey-romantic personally. But even if you are aromantic or asexual you should be able to sort out i dont feel that way about you, she is just dumb.
Also, My apologies for jumping to conclusions if your intention was not ill though. I have just dealt with one to many person who wants to make ace's the butt of their joke, sometimes its hard to tell if it was meant in a fun joking way or a I am going to laugh at you way via text, ya know?
Something we can both agree on though is Akira really needs to figure her crap out though! :)
No problem ^_^ I was also trying to be sassy, lol.
It's only as the manga dragged on that I really had a problem with Akira, she chose to go to an all girls' school - and there she had to deal with a lot of girls falling for her - so it's not like her experience should be zero. And if it is, then what did she make of those girls' affections? Did she just ignore them like she did Makoto? Because they were women? No romantic learning from books, or movies, a blank slate with no societal pressure at all?
The author themselves are avoiding the aromantic and ace tags by making Akira super naive. I started this because I thought it would be cute and trans positive, instead Makoto dresses in drag to "save" Akira and Akira has no confidence. It's just sad and makes me mad, because it's like the author is abusing the original idea.
You won't find much in the way of manga that positively spins any of the lgbtqa+ community to be honest. Even shounen ai/yaoi is mostly written by women for women (fetishized, or very unrealistic). Representation in Japan is not quite as far advanced as it is in many other parts of the world. I say this with all the love for Japan too, It is the best place I have ever traveled, and I love anime/manga. Its just the sad truth of the matter.
For me I try to find a strong female lead who isnt abusive or denser than a box of rocks.. Its like trying to find a unicorn.
*nods*
It's better now than it used to be. I love the "gender-bent" trope, but it's hard to find it taken seriously, where the protagonist isn't sniffed out by an alpha bishounen.
Takane to Hana is probably my fav shoujo (it's ongoing). The protagonist is actually witty and charming, without being some kinda super woman.

For real man? (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
This oblivious chick needs to be single for ever, because if your UNIVERSITY AGED ass can't seem to get around dating and saying you have a boyfriend then you're probably asexual (which is great, congrats) and need to stop hurting people around you.
Makoto needs to stop being a nice boy in drag and find his inner bitch, because this chick is clearly not that into him.
