Maybe ! but do you remember in some flashback chapter we see young sangwoo's childhood and we see his mother smiling and she said "Now, I have a secret too" and she seems happy that time,maybe she kill the father but couldn't keep this secret, felt guilty and comite suicide? or sangwoon killed her bc she was going crazy after killing the father?
I definitely agree with the mom's secret being the father's murder.

I was thinking that maybe Sangwoo did the same thing with his father. Presenting him as a “gift” so that she could kill him bc of the suffering she had to bear. And she refused and maybe killed her self or treated Sangwoo as a monster triggering something inside him.
