Yeah, I feel that this story is really jumbled.
I completely agree with you. You're not being mean. You're just critisising it which is totally fine. Book reviews are never always positive. How would authors or artists improve and learn from their mistakes? I'm an artist myself and i get critisised for my own work and im totally okay with it. Because of them, I really do learn from it and improve. As long as you're being respectful, hearing those opinions are helpful!
The art isn't that bad but the story telling/plot is...amateurish. I'm really not trying to be mean and I'm certainly not an expert...I'm sure there's been a lot of work put into this, but it's honestly not good.
