If I may ask, what is shounen bl? I was wondering if it was shounen-ai or something else altogether.
it may not be the official definition, but to me it's when the relationships in bl manga mirror actual relationships between men. One partner isn't regarded as the "woman" or "man" in the relationship. The premise also, if this wasn't bl--this would totally be regarded as a fantasy shounen manga.
