From what I understood Seokjo went to look for the dad because he cheated his dad and this eventually committed suicide. He got angry so he pushed the MC and the bookshelf accidentally falls so Seokjo (I think!) Used the hammer to break that thing (who happens to be a gift his dad gave to the MC family).
