TBH it's always been the seme of this story like no one else has grinded my gears more lol but i guess another would be Suda from Yatamomo just didnt like the whole emotional confusion then the abuse then the manipulation and then the whole "let me try to get everything i want regardless of everyones feelings" but Suda's not enough for Garbage Boy status. Yeah for me it's this guy.

I'll put Maya from Hidoku Shinaide as #10 because he's unknowingly (shrug) treated Nemu as his little slave boy lover forever and doesn't even realize what a jerk off he's being. Well I won't get started on this but if you find my rant(s) I posted on Hidoku Shinaide I think that'll suffice

Maya! Actually Nemu and Maya's relationship used to be such a huge issue for me because of the fact that their relationship basically "blossomed" from Maya's rape and abuse. We cant deny that their relationship in the current chapters is much MUCH better than it was previously but like Maya. Still. Raped. Manipulated. Guilt-tripped. And Abused Nemugasa, you know? Like no matter how rosy their relationship might be now and no matter how much fluff we might get in future chapters, the early chapters were always going to be a dark smudge in their relationship's history. But! They actually bring it up in that one chapter and Maya and Nemu do discuss it and Maya sincerely admits to and apologizes for it. In fact, he's even the one to bring it up! The chapter took such a huge weight off my worried shoulders because I thought this was definitely going to be one of the cases in which we as the readers just had to sigh, sit back, and just accept that "oh well rape is just a 'common trope' in yaoi" but I think the writer made a really great choice and a push forward in combating this stereotype in make Maya who is a seme thats totally an alpha-type, straight-forawrd but bull-headed, and a bit dense to take responsibilty for his actions.

So personally, I dont think we Maya deserves to be put in the Garbage Boy list. If anything, he's like reformed Garbage. He's recycled material. He's a nice fluffy earth-friendly sweater now that softly wraps around Nemu.

Like how he casually lied to Nemu but hates it when Nemu lies to him AND also how he kinda emotionally blackmailed Nemu when he discovered that he's going to stay at another guy's house by threatening him to break up??? Like wtf??? Idk y'all like ya he's trying but he srsly needs to change his attitude and how he acts whenever Nemu does smth that he doesn't like (and he's hypocrite x lying attitude too eugh)

For me.. I've kept up with Hidoku Shinaide but everytime there was/is an update I would always have this apprehensive feeling and I didn't want to look into why but with the recent updates (I haven't read the chapters since the chapter Nemu confronted Maya about lying staying with Ruka and Maya blew up at him and they got back together one chapter later) really really triggered me. I won't go into detail, already blew up in their post section but Maya is lowkey a controlling asshole and he doesn't even realize. I kind of forgive him in that he doesn't realize and sadly Nemu is too timid and manipulated to even have a reality check about his situation so they are in this NEVER ENDING cycle of quasi abuse. It really was the last straw for me that Maya lied about staying at Ruka's place and completely snapped at Nemu for testing him and then confronting him about the Ruka situation. He apologizes later but the way they had the conversation Nemu immediately apologized and became submissive and since he lets Maya off the hook I don't really think Maya learned any real lesson except they both promised to not lie to each other. It's hard for me to explain my POV with conviction because it's been a while since I read the series and honestly had to bury my feelings because I was literally physically upset and felt upset for days after the last few chapters. It really made me realize how Maya has 99% control in their relationship and is only good to Nemu obeys and follows his every word which was the case prior to Rukagate. I think it's a dbag move that Maya has never said I love you and has continually made Nemu feel insecure throughout their relationship and keeps it that way (though perhaps subconciously) to keep his control and dominance in their relationship. The one time Nemu acts out Maya lashes out and retaliates. It's really immature for such a long term relationship and how respectful Nemu is of Maya. Even in the beginning when they got together Maya basically inferred it was Nemu's fault that Maya started ignoring him and tried to move on and ignored the whole point that he raped and blackmailed Nemu and expected/expects Nemu to treat him with respect. Their relationship is not healthy and I think what got to me the most is I've been following this series for years and I realized I felt like I was being emotionally manipulated and abused alongside Nemu and I just didn't want to take it anymore.

anyway TL;DR Maya for me deserves to be on the list at #10 and I would change his rank to higher personally depending who's on the list

yeah that was the chapter that I couldn't tolerate Maya's behavior anymore. up til then he was childish and immature but he at least was good to Nemu in actions if not in words but after that I was done with his shit. If this happened to me irl I don't think I could trust my S/O anymore.
