I believe Jang-gun did that out of jealousy too. It's like no matter how hard he tried, Jimin would never look his way. But instead he chose this mentally unstable guy instead. So he must have hated Hyunwoo's guts for that.
Is no one going to point out the fact that Jang-gun just found out that the guy his best friend/love interest likes is mentally unstable and was basically just forcing himself on a DRUNK AND PASSED OUT Jimin? On top of that, he coerced him into getting drunk just to use him and pretend he's his dead girlfriend? Regardless of whether Hyunwoo knew what he was doing or not, I'd be pretty pissed off if I came across that situation. A kick to the head would be the least Hyun would suffer from me as I desperately tried to get him away from my best friend/love interest. Call me insensitive or whatever, but I think Jang-gun's reaction was seriously justified.
